There's No Crying in Swimming
Today Mommy and I had a new adventure. She took me to the YMCA to go swimming! It was actually a class called Skippers. I was one of the youngest ones there. I didn't cry at all. I screamed towards the end, but that's because it was nap time. But I never cried, I was just reminding Mommy that I may need some sleep. There were 11 other babies and mommies, but as I said they were older and some of them cried. You would think they never saw a giant bathtub before. Maybe they just wanted bubbles or something. To be clear, all of the cry babies were boys. Yup, boys are babies. Anyway, back to the fun part.We got in a circle and the Mommies sang songs and we swam along. First we swam on our bellies, then our backs. I even got dunked under the water (yes, on purpose) by the teacher Miss Jenn. Mommy was too afraid to do it herself. I unfortunately kept my mouth open and drank a little water. But, let's be clear, I didn't cry. I had already swallowed some water while I was kicking my legs and splashing my arms. After class, I was still trying to swim on the floor while Mommy was trying to get me dressed.

I was very tired after we finally left that I fell asleep in the car and stayed asleep after Daddy got me out and put me in my crib. Swimming is fun but it can wear a baby out.
For dinner I was famished. I had one of my favorites, fresh avocado. This picture is for you Uncle Zane. I hope you print it out and keep it on your desk at school!
Nanny, I'm glad you are feeling better! Mommy and Daddy say we'll be up soon for a visit!
Hopefully next week Daddy will come to class and take pictures of me actually swimming. You all would be very impressed! I hope the boys have their acts together next week:)

Me in Action
So now that I'm over eight months old, I have to tell you that I love food. I don't really care what it is. Everything I've tasted so far is yummy. I even steal my daddy's pretzels once in a while. But he never let's me finish one. So here are some movies of me eating a teething biscuit (yummy and very messy) and Cheerios. And you'll have to excuse me, I do get a little moody sometimes.
After eating, my next favorite thing is getting cleaned up!
I hope you enjoyed my vids (as my cousin, Marissa would say)!

Cheerios
Mommy and Daddy have been putting Cheerios in front of me for a week or so. Finally, last Thursday at the coffee shop I figured out that I was supposed to eat them. Now I eat them while I sit in my high chair.
Some times I just gnaw on them.
They don't always stay in my mouth.
Sometimes I search for them with my tongue. Usually, that just makes them fall on the floor for the dogs to clean up.

Miss Julie
So my mom's friend, Miss Julie, is moving to Wisconsin. They used to be roommates back in Catonsville. Miss Julie is really fun. She came to see me and sang to me when I was a tiny baby (She sings a LOT better than mommy, she used to sing in a band). She has two kids Liam and Ava...twins! She has given me lots of things, like the outfit I'm wearing in this picture. Can you believe I'm only four weeks old here?!?!
So anyway, last week, Miss Julie and Miss Mary came over for a farewell dinner. We all got some clothes and I got a new toy. It's really fun. It's a jungle with animals and when you put them in their home they make sounds. The lion roars and the bird sings. The bird is my favorite! I'm not sure is you can see the toy too well in these pics, but you can see how much fun I'm having. Also, the outfit is also courtesy of Miss Julie.

I really like the fence piece so I can chew on it since all my teeth are coming in at once!

My Toys
I have some cool toys. I love the toys where I get to stand and play with different things. This one is fun, but I'm too small to walk around to all the toys.
But I can play peek-a-boo...I see you!
Reading by Osmosis
I like to read before I go to sleep. Sometimes though I like to use my book as a sleeping mask since Mommy and Daddy leave a night light on for me. My mommy calls it reading by osmosis. I don't know what she is talking about but she says I'll figure it out in high school.
